10 Wardrobe Tips to look after your Energy

We all know summer comes along with an (sometimes massive) amount of sun and heat, so in order to go with the flow and feel energized, here are some styling tips. Remember that adapting to the new season also means including self-care in the daily ritual of getting dressed. Summer is also the season related with energy for excellence and the more consciously we dress, the most we can make out of it.

  • Wearing light colors and light fabrics from natural fibers such as cotton, linen, silk or cellulose (such as lyocell and rayon), will keep you fresh all day long. Regarding colors, for example, white is the color of pureness and fresh starts, so the best choice for heavy days ahead.
  • Consider the cuts and designs of your wardrobe, keep the style loose to allow for movement and allowing space for the skin to breathe.
  • For accessories, think of natural elements, like rattan and jute, they can add an informal twist and are nowadays not only vacay staples but also accepted as complements of many city outfits.
  • Go flat: we all love sexy shoes and heels, but during warm days, the best option is to choose flat shoes that will prevent your feet from swelling after hours of wear. Also consider your lifestyle  (dress codes at work, for example), as you want to stay stylish and fresh at the same time.
  • Mix and  match with the summer patterns available: have you noticed that some summer fruits are also part of fashion pieces? Now we can find pineapples, lemons, oranges as prints or even as accessories themselves.  The vibrant and citrus tones cheer up any mood and adds a fresh note to any outfit, so be open to play and have some fun.
  • Denim trousers are our loved savior for the everyday-use, but then shift to the white version or light blue version of jeans during the hot days. Also, the hem gets shorter, so go for the kicked cut,  showing some skin (and ankles) and making you feel lighter.
  • For women, maxi dresses are a fantastic option, to feel feminine and comfortable all day long. Avoid body-con designs under all costs as they easily attach to the skin and are not so breathable. Tipp: the use of patterned fabrics will avoid making sweat stains so visible.
  • Underwear is also important for everyone, choose blends including cotton to avoid unpleasant results throughout the whole day. Check if the nude tones of the pieces really match your skin color, to wear them carefree.
